Key Responsibilities:

• Support youth success within the Pillars of Care Framework, discussing and encouraging goal focus

• Work alongside youth day to day as they navigate their individualized plans

• Maintain a home-like environment through intentionality and creativity

• Work closely with the youth’s care team and community partners

• Use Relational Practice when connecting with youth, familial connections, and community partners

• Advocate for youth needs

• Believe in the potential of all youth

• Honouring the voices of youth through a youth engagement lens

• Following safety protocols and emergency procedures

• Applying trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive practices

• Work collaboratively with community agencies to grow and expand the youth’s support network

• Support a healthy and vibrant work environment

Qualifications requises :

• Child & Youth Care, Social Services Worker or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years direct support experience with children and youth

• Passion, commitment and dedication to youth

• Comprehensive knowledge of program evaluation and best practice standards

• Understanding and remaining knowledgeable in the evolution of needs and trends within child & youth care

• An understanding of Youth Engagement and Relational child and youth care approach

• Creative and resourceful, confident and optimistic

• Self-motivated and ability to motivate and inspire others

• Excellent time management, written and verbal skills

• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Must provide own transportation and have valid Class G License- transportation of youth required.

Sarnia Lambton Rebound is a non-profit agency committed to youth between the ages of 8 and 24. We promote changed attitudes and behaviours helping young people develop skills that promote a positive response to self, family and community.  Staff will provide individualized care to youth who are in the care of CAS in a supported, holistic, independent living environment. Using relational practice, the staff will support youth in their transition toward stable, independent living through structured routines, life skill development, and familial and community connection.
